JB Hunt Transport Services (NASDAQ: JBHT) released its first-quarter earnings results at the close of the trading day.
The earnings exceeded analyst expectations, with revenue also outperforming forecasts.
Throughout the quarter, the company recorded total revenue of $2.92 billion and achieved a net income of $1.17 per share.
Analysts had predicted an income of $1.15 and revenue of $2.91 billion for the quarter.
Compared to the previous year, the company’s revenue decreased by 0.8 percent, with earnings also declining by 4.1 percent.
